Pre-analytic stages have the biggest mistakes, one of which is the handling of the sample, basically all checks must be done immediately, but sometimes there are some things that cause the delay of the examination. Creatinine examination has an important function in assisting the diagnosis of someone with impaired renal function. Previous research has shown that creatinine is stable at 3-5ºC for 48 hours. Research conducted is Experimental with Post Test With Control. Sampling technique is done with total sampling that is as much as 27 respondents Regular student C9 STIKES Nasional as population From the results of this study, the results of the increase in delayed creatinine averages were 0.2 mg / dl when compared with the creatinine examined immediately, where the p value obtained compared with the α values applied was α = (0.05), obtained value p value ≤ α (0,05). Based on the results of research, the p value obtained compared with the value of α that has been applied that is α = (0,05), got value p value ≤ α (0,05), hence can be concluded that there is difference creatinin level which checked immediately with delay. Increased levels of creatinine may be caused by the presence of pseudocreatinin, which reacts with picric acid to form compounds similar to the creatinine of complex picrates and has the same absorbance value.
