Abstract

Anemia is a global health problem that affects society. The main cause of anemia in Indonesia is low intake of substances and other nutrients, which is caused by low consumption of food or beverage sources of iron. The consumption behavior of young women towards food can be one of the causes of anemia failure. One of them consumes drinks, this is due to the tannin content and polyphenol composition in tea. Tea is an inhibitor in preventing iron, which decreases in amount in the body. Reducing erythrocytes is one indicator of decreasing anemia. The purpose of this literature study is to determine the relationship between habits comsumption of black tea (Camellia sinensis. L) to the status of anemia in adolescent girls. This type of research is the study of literature. The sample used was young women aged 15-22 years. Analysis of the data used in the study of this literature is to collect reference data in the form of journals about the relationship of tea drinking habits to the status of anemia in adolescence girls. The collected data is analyzed to get conclusions. The results of the study of the literature the relationship the habits comsumption of tea on anemia status in adolescent girls shows that there is a significant relationship between tea drinking habits on anemia status in adolescent girls with a value of p <0.05.
