Abstract

Poor attention to sanitation resulted in H. pylori bacteria (Helicobacter pylori) which is the main cause of peptic ulcer disease is easy to develop treatment is important, but the wrong type and dose can be Harmful therefore, the selection of the drug type will determine the quality of use of the drug in the selection of therapy. This study aims to deermine the prescribing pattern of pectic ulcer drug in adult patient in Dr. Moewardi Hospital. This research is a type of non-experimental study with descriptive research plan the sampling will be conducted at the inpatient pharmacy of Dr. Moewardi Hospital. Sampling was done at inpatient pharmacies wuth saturated sample tehnique as many ass 133 samples.The results showed a description of the characteristics of peptic ulcer patients in the inpatient ward of Dr. Moewardi Hospitalshowed the patient in the dominant male gender as much as 80 patients (60%) Female gender followed by a total of 53 patients (40%). While the age indicates the patient is dominated by age 56-65 years as many as 78 patients 59%). Pattern prescribing peptic ulcers that include the drug group is used are proton inhibitors as much as 33,2%, te most types of drugs were sucralfate 64,7%, the method of using the most by injection was 68,96%. Drug prescribing peptic ulcer based on combination with other drugs shows the combination that is often used are Proton inhibitors, chelating agents, Anti-emetics as much as 24 patients (18.5%). The accuracy of the use of dosage, frequency and appropriateness with the hospital formulary is appropriate 100%.
