Abstract

Scabies is a skin disease caused by a parasite called Sarcoptes scabiei. This disease still often occurs in the community, especially in communities with dense housing such as islamic boarding schools. So this study aims to determine the percentage and factors that influence the incidence of scabies in Central Java province islamic boarding schools. This research study of literature uses a descriptive analysis research method sourced from text books, thesis research reports, and scientific journals. Based on the review conducted by research subjects taken namely students who meet the criteria and the number of research subjects is determined by the formula. The results obtained positive results of the incidence of scabies in Miftahul huda Islamic boarding school 27, Islamic boarding school in Guntur 35 district, Islamic boarding school Matholiul Huda Alkautsar 39, Wasilatul Huda Islamic boarding school and Pesantren Selamat Kendal 51 boarding school, An Nawawi Islamic boarding school 34, Islamic boarding school Daarul Quruda 39 '59, AlMuayyad Islamic Boarding School 95, Darul Mujahadah Islamic Boarding School 47 with an average percentage of scabies at Islamic boarding schools in Central Java province of 54.1%. After analyzing it is concluded that there are certain factors that influence the incidence of scabies such as age, gender, environmental factors as well as knowledge about clean and healthy living behaviors.
