Abstract

Ciplukan herb (Physalis angulata L,) is an herbal plant that contains flavonoids that act as immunomodulators. Tablet preparations have the advantage that they are easy to consume and the right dosage, so that in this study the ciplukan herb is made into tablets. The purpose of this study was to determine the concentration of PVP-K30 which produced the best physical tablet dosage. The ciplukan herb extract is obtained through extraction with the maceration method using 70% ethanol solvent and the manufacture of tablets using the wet granulation method because the active ingredients of ciplukan herbs are flavonoids which cannot withstand heating at temperatures above 60 ° C, and have poor flow properties. The ciplukan (Physalis angulata L.) herb extract tablet preparations were made with variations in the concentration of the PVP K-30 binder 3%, 4%, and 5%. The physical stability test was carried out on days 0,7,14, and 21. The concentration of PVP-K30 binder had an effect on the physical properties of the granules and the physical properties of the tablet preparations. The higher the concentration of the binder, the higher the hardness, the lower the friability and the disintegration time. the longer. Based on the results obtained, ciplukan herbal extract tablets with 3% binder produces tablets with the best physical properties with an average uniformity test result of 0.512 ± 0.00264 grams, an average size uniformity test result of 0.416 ± 0.00519 cm, The mean brittleness test results were 0.606 ± 0.0364%, the mean hardness test results were 5.59 ± 0.01096 kg and the mean disintegration time test results were 11: 50 ± 0.01096 minutes.
