Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a metabolic disease marked by high levels of blood glucose resulting from deficiencies in insulin secretion, impaired activities of insulin or both wich needs the complex and a long term medical treatment, one of the success factor in the therapy depends on the patient adherence. Prevalence data of BPJS patient visits diabetes mellitus type 2 at Apotek Kimia Farma Sragen about 33,6% from totally BPJS patients. This study took patients of BPJS and Prolanis with diabetes mellitus as the object because every month must consume the same drug regularly, making it ideal for measuring compliance and evaluating the patient's blood sugar levels. The purpose of this study is to know and describe patient compliance picture of diabetes mellitus type 2 at Apotek Kimia Farma Sragen period April 2020. A kind of the research is qualitatif descriptive with the data in prospective. Data is collected of MMAS-8 questionnaire method were distributed to patients who fulfilled inclusion criteria type 2 of patients diabetes mellitus received oral antidiabetic drugs from Public Helath Care (FKTP) in April 2020 and willing to become respondents.The number of samples obtained by researchers about 183 respondents and majority of respondents in this study aged more than 65 years old (32%), female sex (70%), bachelor or high educated (57%), and general employees (31%). The results of this study, most of respondents categorized low compliance rate of 76 respondents (42%), high compliance as much as 33 respondents (18%), and mid compliance was 74 respondents (40%).
