Abstract

Indriati Solo Baru hospital’s using two methods for blood glucose assay, Glucose Dehydrogenase method on Optium Neo-Point of Care Testing (POCT) and Hexokinase method on Indiko analyser respectively. Hexokinase method is generally used for blood glucose tests, however, to obtain fast results on emergency situation, it can be used Glucose Dehydrogenase method on the Optium Neo POCT. Based on that situation, researcher are interested to compare blood glucose levels on POCT (glucose dehydrogenase method) with Indiko chemical analyzer (hexokinase method) as the gold standard. A total of 141 samples of inpatients treatment was pooled in the study at Indriati Solo Baru Hospital. Venous blood samples for glucose determination by dehydrogenase method and hexokinase method. The research was conducted on June 2021 at Indriati Solo Baru laboratory. After that, the data continued to process with a paired statistic t test. A paired statistic t test for blood glucose levels showed glucose dehydrogenase method that were comaparable with hexokinase method obtain p value = 0.000 (p<0.05). According to this, there is a statistically significant difference in the results both of two methods. There is a significant difference in the results of blood glucose measurements between glucose dehydrogenase method and hexokinase method.
