Abstract

Background: Dynamic balance is the ability to maintain stability in moving the body from one point to another or a state of motion and can maintain a stable level of the body. The strength of balance and mobility is needed to control the position of the body segment in a room when the position is moving.that the incidence of cognitive decline in the elderly is estimated at 121 million people, with a composition of 9.5% women and 5.8% men. To overcome the decrease in dynamic balance in the elderly, tandem walking exercise and ankle strategy exercise are needed. This exercise can reduce the risk of falling in the elderly who have a history of balance disorders caused by degenerative diseases. Research purposes: By general to know the study of giving tandem walking exercise and ankle strategy exercise on dynamic balance in the elderly. Research methods: The literature search is accessed through Google schoolar, Jstage, and other search tools regarding the effect of tandem walking exercise and ankle strategy exercise on dynamic balance in the elderly and has a randomized controlled trial and experimental study design from the last 10 years research. Research result: This study includes 6 journal titles regarding exercise and its effect on balance in the elderly. The sample of this study is the literature that contains elderly people who have a decrease in body balance and uses randomized controlled trial and experimental research methods. Conclusion: There is an effect of giving tandem walking exercise with ankle strategy exercise in improving dynamic balance in the elderly.
