Abstract

Aseptic technique is defined as a work procedure that minimizes microbial contaminants and can reduce the risk of exposure to workers. Contaminants may be carried into the aseptic area from medical devices, drug preparations, or personnel so it is important to control these factors during the aseptic product processing process. Knowledge of medical personnel regarding the activities of reconstitution of antibiotics plays an important role in providing services to patients. The purpose of this study was to describe the knowledge of pharmacists on the process of reconstitution of antibiotics in RSUD dr. Sudirman Mangun Soemarso Wonogiri. This research includes quantitative descriptive research. The research was conducted by distributing questionnaires to pharmacists at RSUD dr.Sudirman Mangun Soemarso Wonogiri. The sampling technique was purposive sampling where the sample used met the inclusion and exclusion criteria set by the researcher. The scale used is the Guttman scale and the results of the study were univariate analysis. The results of this study indicate that the characteristics of respondents are 71% female, 83.9% have a working period of > 5 years, 40.3% have Diploma 3 education, 51.6% work units are in inpatient pharmacy. Description of knowledge on the process of reconstitution of antibiotics in RSUD dr. Soediran Mangun Soemarso Wonogiri in 2022 of 62 respondents obtained 27.4% good knowledge, 72.6% moderate knowledge, and 0% less knowledge. These data indicate that efforts still need to be made by hospitals to increase the knowledge of pharmacists in the process of reconstitution of antibiotics.
