Abstract

The use of antibiotics without a prescription doctor is still high.Based on the data basic health research 2013, the proportion of households that stores antibiotic without a prescription doctor in the province of central java of 87,1 %.The use of an antibiotic rational needs to be accompanied with knowledge of an antibiotic good.The use of antibiotics irrational can cause resistance.Research aims to understand community knowledge on the use of antibiotics the tetracycline. Research including research descriptive non experimental .Large samples to research is 97 respondents .Data is collected through filling out of the questionnaires by respondents .Technique sampling to research this is purposive sampling .Data analysis in the research was done to statistics non parametric . Research conducted served in the percentage. The research results show that the community knowledge village mojogedang about the use of tetracycline antibiotic in the category of enough with the average score of 75,49 % .Because of that is required measures to increase community knowledge about the use of tetracycline antibiotic better via counseling held in village .
