Abstract

Corn silk has many chemical compounds are efficacious, one flavonoid compounds that have the effect of diuretic and laxative gallstones, but the market has not been a lot of practical and attractive use. Corn silk extract formulations in dosage forms effervescent granules can simplify how to use and more attractive because it gives freshness. This study aims to determine how the effect of varying the amount of citric acid and sodium bicarbonate, the physical properties of the granules (a soluble, water content, compressibility index, flow time, pH of the solution). Analysis of data obtained using tables and graphs. Making use corn silk extract maceration method using ethanol 70%. The effervescent granules are made in three formulas with variations in the levels of citric acid and tartaric acid. From the physical evaluation of granules formula 3 is the best formula
