Abstract

Tuberculosis is disease caused by the Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Wonogiri Regency found TB cases with total of 132.99 per 100,000 population. Purpose of this study to compare the sputum examination test between conventional or microscopic with the Molecular Rapid Test, to determine the comparison between the microscopic and TCM for the discovery of Mycobacterium tuberculosis and to determine the effect of time delay (without delay and with a delay of 7 days) examination on the results of sample examination. sputum by microscopic and TCM. The research method is experimental analytic. The results the microscopic with the examination time obtained significant value of 0.011 <0.05, Ho rejected. In the TCM with significant 0.025 < 0.05, Ho rejected. In the microscopic and TCM with examination time without delay, significant value of 0.002 < 0.05 was obtained, Ho rejected. In the microscopic and TCM with an examination time with delay of 7 days, significant value of 0.002 < 0.05 was obtained, Ho rejected. The conclusion of this study is that there are differences in the results of examination of sputum samples found by MTB using microscopic and TCM. In examining the sample from the data obtained by the author, there is effect of delaying the examination time, there is the effect of delaying the examination time (without delay and with a delay of 7 days) microscopic methods and TCM on the results of examination of sputum samples for the discovery of Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
