Abstract

Background. Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a degenerative disease that requires regular control. This disease occurs because the pancreas cannot produce enough insulin so that it can cause various complications in the body's organs, one of which is diabetic nephropathy. Serum creatinine levels and microalbuminuria are important to control because they are indicators of the course of type-2 diabetes mellitus. Prolanis aims to prevent complications due to diabetes mellitus. This study aims to determine the relationship between serum creatinine levels and microalbuminuria in patients with type 2 diabetes. Research methods. This type is an observational analytic research using a Cross Sectional approach. The subjects of this study were 130 patients with diabetes mellitus in the Prolanis program. The object of this research is creatinine level and urine microalbumin level. Analysis of the data using the Spearman Rank Correlation Test using the help of the Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) program. Research result. After conducting research on 98 respondents from the Prolanis program, it was found that the significance value was p = 0.000 and the Correlation Coefficient was 0.517 Conclusion. The results showed that there was a correlation between levels of creatinine levels and urinary microalbumin levels in patients with diabetes mellitus in the Prolanis program with a moderate level of correlation.
