Abstract
Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is one of the most common autoimmune diseases in society. The disease is characterized by inflammation in the synovial lining of the joints. Until now the cause of RA is still unknown, there are those who mention genetic factors and environmental factors that can increase the risk of RA. The results of Rheumatoid Factor (RF) were found in more than 70% of RA patients. Most RA diseases last a long time/ chronic i.e. heal and relapse repeatedly causing permanent joint damage. The problems caused by RA are not only obvious limitations on mobility and daily living activities but also obscure systemic effects that can lead to organ failure. The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is a correlation between menopouse and the incidence of Rheumatoid Arthritis. This type of research is analytical observational with accidental sampling techniques. The study was conducted at the Prodia Cepu Clinical Laboratory by RF examination using the agglutination method. This study used a Cross sectional study design with a sample of 30 respondents. The variable of this study is menopouse and the value of Rheumatoid Factor. Statistical test results using SPSS Fisher's exact test obtained sig value = 0.005. The conclusion of this study is that there is a correlation between menopause accompanied by joint pain and the incidence of Rheumatoid Arhtritis.
