Abstract
Alcoholic beverages caused a prevalence of 0.8% health problems and 0.7% alcohol dependence of the total 260,581,100 Indonesian population and caused 768 cases of alcoholic beverage poisoning in 2019. Alcoholic beverages that are often consumed are the result of fermenting fruits with ethanol content in them, such as the alcoholic drink "CIU" which is derived from fermented molasses. The ethanol content in Ciu will have an acute and chronic intoxication effect due to BAC (Blood Alcohol Concentration) levels exceeding the normal limit (0.08%) starting with the body feeling weak and dizzy, chronic intoxication will begin to damage the gastric mucosa and small intestine so that it interferes with the absorption of nutrients needed. It is needed for hematopoiesis so that the blood cells that are formed mature are followed by a decrease in hemoglobin levels. The purpose of this study was to determine hemoglobin levels in white rats (Rattus norvegicus) treated with Ciu alcoholic beverages. This study is a quasy experimental/post-test study with a control and experimental group using a simple random sampling technique, there were 4 groups, namely the control group, the treatment group was 5 ml Ciu/200 g BW, 10 ml Ciu/200 g BW, and 15 ml Ciu/200 g BW with six rats in each treatment group. The treatment was carried out for seven days and then the hemoglobin level was measured. Research database were analyzed using One-Way ANOVA test with SPSS statistic 25. The results of the One-Way ANOVA test were obtained with a value of sig<0.05 and Post Hoc Tukey test on 10 ml and 15 ml treatment gave sig<0.05. It can be concluded that there is an effect on the hemoglobin level of white rats (Rattus norvegicus) after gave 10 ml and 15 ml Ciu/200 g body weight of alcoholic drinks.
