Abstract

Supeltas themselves are people (not official government officials) who regulate traffic by expecting voluntary donations from people who cross the road. This traffic jam can cause air pollution, especially lead pollutant. One of the factors that affect hemoglobin levels is that lead from combustion of motor fuel is a major contributor to lead concentrations in the air. The entry of lead in the body will result in disruption of the hemoglobin synthesis process. In the body, hemoglobin functions to transport oxygen throughout the body's tissues to be used as a transport medium. This research aims to determine the description of hemoglobin levels in the support community in Kartasura. This type of research is descriptive research. The examination method used the cyanmethemoglobin method using an MC RAL 15 photometer. The time of the study was carried out in December 2021 to May 2022. The number of research samples was 27 respondents with purposive sampling technique. The data obtained were then processed and presented descriptively by making a table of the characteristics of the respondents. Based on the results of the study, it was found that from 27 respondents normal hemoglobin levels were 24 respondents (88.88%) while the results of hemoglobin levels were less than normal as many as 3 respondents (1.11%) with an average of 15.75 grams/dL, with a minimum hemoglobin level of 13.5 grams/dL and a maximum value of 17,8 grams/dL. It can be concluded that most (79.99%) of the Supeltas community in Kartasura have normal hemoglobin levels.
