Abstract
The increase in blood sugar levels will trigger the onset of oxidative stress condition characterized by an imbalance between the number of free radicals and antioxidants. A recent study done water extracts of soursop and moringa leaves effective of lowering blood sugar levels but the research is conducted in the form of a single and has never done a combination between both the extracts. This research was conducted to find out the influence of the combination of soursop extract and moringa extract against glucose levels in mice induced aloxan. This research using animal tests as much as 32 rats. As positive controls used glibenclamide, soursop extract 100 mg/kgBB, kelor extract 200 mg/kgBB and the combination of SK (75:25), SK (50:50) and the SK (25:75). All test animals, except for normal groups induced a dose of 160 mg/aloxan kgBB on day 0, followed by treatment of the animal testing from day 1 until day 14. Blood sampling is performed on the day 0, 7, and 14 further analysis determined big sugar levels% power hypoglycemic. Its normality tested data using the ShapiroWilk Test extended test ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) and (α = 0.05). Both extract single or combination can reduce glucose level. Dosages of optimal from a combination of water extracts soursop and moringa extract to decrease blood glucose levels, doses SK 50:50 with the percentage of a hypoglycemic level by 37,43 %.
