Abstract
Hypertension is one of the causes of premature death in the world community and the longer, the problem is increasing. WHO has estimated by the year 2025, 1.5 billion people in the world will suffer from hypertension each year. The prevalence of hypertension in the world today is estimated to reach 15-25% of the adult population. This study aims to determine the description of drug use in inpatients with hypertension in RSUD Ir. Soekarno Sukoharjo District period 2017. Research conducted is a type of descriptive survey research with retrospective retrieval data. Data presented in tabular form and analyzed using reference JNC 7. Result of research of hypertension patient at inpatient of RSUD Ir. Soekarno Sukoharjo is dominated by stage II hypertension with a percentage of 91.85%. The largest hypertensive patients were in the 56-65 year age group, with a 31.11% percentile of 42 people from 135 samples taken. Hypertensive patients in hospitalized hospitals Ir. Soekarno Sukoharjo 79.25% are female patients. Determination of hypertension drug class in RSUD Ir. Soekarno Sukoharjo, the most widely used class of ACE Inhibitor, namely captopril 25 mg with percentage of 18,71%. Appropriate distribution of drugs and appropriate doses in hypertensive patients at inpatient hospitals Ir. Soekarno Sukoharjo has reached 70.37%, while the right patient and precise indication of hypertension patient has reached 100%.
