Abstract
Hypertension is one of the major risk factors for heart problems. Besides that, hypertension can cause kidney failure or cerebrovascular disease. One of the drugrelated problems in hypertensive patients is the inappropriate selection of drug doses that can cause the therapy goal is not achieved and thus the patient is harmed. This study aims to determine the distribution of prescribing antihypertensive drugs and to analyze the accuracy of drug doses in patients with hypertension BPJS without comorbidities.This study is a non experimental study conducted retrospectively on patients with hypertension BPJS at Arafah Drugstore in Karanganyar during July - September 2017. Data were derived from the book monitoring the health status of patients and prescription drug data. The data were then analyzed descriptively and compared with the specified standard.The results of the study about the antihypertensive drug prescribing distribution in Karanganyar Arafah Drugstore, showed that single antihypertensive drug (Amlodipine 57%) is mostly used than combination antihypertensive drug (Captopril and Amlodipine 43%). The antihypertensive doses administered on the basis of the number of drug doses and frequency per day satisfied the accuracy of the antihypertensive dose of 92.91% while the antihypertensive dose did not meet the accuracy of the antihypertensive dose of 7.9%.
