Abstract

Asthma is defined as a chronic respiratory tract disease characterized by inflammation, increased reactivity to various stimuli, and narrowing of the airways which can return spontaneously or if taking the right medication. The purpose of this scientific paper is to determine the level of adherence to the use of inhaler drugs in asthmatics in the Pulmonary Clinic of RSUD dr. Soediran Mangun Soemarso Wonogiri. This study was a descriptive observational study using a cross sectional approach. Large sample calculations using Slovin formula. Compliance of asthma patients using inhalers at the Lung Polyclinic of RSUD dr. Soediran Mangun Soemarso Wonogiri, it can be concluded that level of adherence of most patients was moderate level of 123 patients (69.49%), then high level of adherence as 40 patients (22,60%), and the lowest was patients with low level of adherence as 14 patients (7,91%).
