Abstract
Acute Respiratory Tract Infection or ARI is a group of diseases that attack the respiratory tract caused by microorganism and consists of Upper ARI and Lower ARI so that the accuracy of antibiotics is needed, especially in children. This study aims to determine the antibiotic prescribing pattern of ARI patients in hospitalized children at Dr. Moewardi Surakarta uses the retrospective method by tracing recipes that fit the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Sampling using Slovin formula, from 288 populations obtained as many as 168 samples with a level of error of 5%. From the results of the study presented descriptively, the highest percentage of ARI patients in hospitalized children in the 1-5 year age group was 60%, with male sex characteristics as much as 61%. The percentage of green group antibiotic use is 92%, yellow group is 2% and red group is 6%. The percentage of accuracy is 100%, the accuracy of the drug is 100% and the accuracy of the dose is 98%.
