Abstract
Heavy metal pollution tends to increase due to the development of industrialization. Lead (Pb) is widely used by humans in industrial painting activities. Abnormalities in liver function are a result of increased levels of lead in the blood. Lead enters the digestive system and accumulates in the blood, which is then circulated to the liver and induces the formation of free radicals, which are characterized by increased SGOT. The purpose of this literature study is to determine the relationship of lead levels to SGOT in the blood of employees who are exposed to chemical dyes. Literature data sources use journal reference literature related to lead content and SGOT. The data is then analyzed descriptively. Results a literature study on the relationship of lead levels to SGOT levels in the blood of employees exposed to chemicals by 75% (3 journals) states there is a relationship between lead levels to blood levels of SGOT and 25% (1 journal) states there is no relationship between lead levels to levels SGOT in blood. The relationship of lead levels to blood levels of SGOT shows a negative relationship that is the higher the level of lead in a person's blood, the higher the levels of SGOT in staining employees.
