Abstract

Intensive Care Unit (ICU) treatment room is a separate part of the hospital, there are staffs and special equipments intended for the observation, theraphy of patients with illnesses, injuries or complications. with the prognosis of dubia. Bacteria that often cause nosocomial infections is Klebsiella pneumoniae. So this study aims to determine Klebsiella pneumoniae in the ICU treatment room at Manado City Hospital in 2015 to 2019. This study of literature uses a descriptive analysis research method sourced from text books, thesis research reports, and scientific journals. Based on the review conducted by research, subjects taken using swab samples of floors, walls, medical equipments, medical furnitures and air. The results showed positive Klebsiella pneumoniae bacteria in ICU room BLU Hospital Prof. Dr. Dr. R. D. Kandou Manado amounted to 4,1%, ICU Room Robert Wolter Mongisidi Hospital Manado 3,8%, and ICU General Hospital GMIM Pancaran Kasih Manado 17%. After analyzing, there was an increase in the number of Klebsiella pneumoniae from 2015, which was 4.1% to 17% in 2019.
