Abstract

Leukocyte examination is to determine the abnormalities of white blood cells which are responsible for the body's immunity. In the process of examination the biggest errors found in the pre-analytic process that plebotomic difficulties in the process of taking blood, the effect that underfilled blood on the vacutainer tube will make hypertonicity of the blood so that can errors the diagnosis process . The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of difference blood volume in the K2EDTA vacutainer tube on the leukocytes count. This research is the result of abstraction and synthesis related to the subject of leukocyte cell counts against difference blood volume in the K2EDTA vacuteiner tubes obtained from various sources . example Vanja Radisic Biljak. The information uses the keywords "Underfilled blood collection tubes", "Lower sample volumes collected", "The effect of high anticoagulants", and "Effect of differences in blood volume on the vacutainer". The results of Vanja R, et al, Fasakin, et al, and Xu M, et al, all showed that was no significant effect on difference blood volume in K2EDTA vacutainer tubes on the leukocyte cell count.
