Abstract
Worming is an infectious disease caused by worm parasites. Worm disease is common in the world, including in Indonesia. One of the worm species that causes helminthiasis is Soil Transmitted Helminths. Soil Transmitted Helminths are intestinal nematodes which are transmitted through the soil. Many Soil Transmitted Helminths infections affect the group of 6 to 12 years old usis or at the stage of elementary school age children. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of personal hygiene behavior to Soil Transmitted Helminths infections in elementary school children. This study uses literature study research. The data used secondary data obtained from the study of the relationship between personal hygiene behaviors, namely washing hands, using footwear, food hygiene, snacking hygiene, bowel habits, and cutting nails in elementary school children. The sample used is fecal samples. The data obtained were then analyzed using descriptive analysis. Based on the result obtained in this study, showed that the value of P value < 0,05 which means Ho is rejected Ha is accepted, then there is a relationship between personal hygiene behavior againts Soil Transmitted Helminths infections in elementary school children. The better personal hygiene behavior of children, the lower the level of helminthiasis and the worse the personal hygiene behavior of children, the higher the level of helminthiasis infection.
