Abstract

Hepatitis B is a major global health problem. This can cause chronic infections and put people at high risk of death from cirrhosis and liver cancer. This study aims to determine the characteristics and patterns of hepatitis B treatment in inpatients at Brayat Minulya Hospital Surakarta. This research is a non-experimental research conducted retrospectively and analyzed descriptively. This study was conducted on 44 medical records of patients diagnosed with hepatitis B. The results showed that the age group of 46-55 years had the highest percentage of hepatitis B infected as many as 12 patients (27.27%), based on the gender of hepatitis B disease, more suffered by male patients. 23 patients (52.27%). Based on the diagnosis of patients (with or without other diseases) more dominated by hepatitis B patients with other diseases tumors or lumps as many as 8 patients (18.18%). Percentage based on the use of drugs that are widely used are hepatoprotector drugs (curcumin) as many as 19 patients (13.87%), gastrointestinal drugs anti-ulcer groups (ranitidine) as many as 18 patients (13.14%), central nervous system drugs of nausea and vertigo (ondancetron) as many as 31 patients (22.63%), and analgesic drugs (paracetamol) as many as 15 patients (10.94%).
