Abstract

Indonesia is one of the countries with the most hepatitis sufferers, among 11 other countries in Southeast Asia. Ministry of Health field data for 2007-2012 shows that the number of people with HBV infection exceeds 31% of the total hepatitis sufferers. To ensure effectiveness and safety, drug administration must be given rationally. This study aims to evaluate the use of drugs that refer to the right diagnosis, the right indication, the right drug selection and the right dosage in hepatitis B patients in the inpatient clinic of RSUP Dr. Soeradji Tirtonegoro Klaten. This study uses a non-experimental method with a descriptive retrospective evaluation design. Data was collected from the 2018 medical records. The sampling technique used was "purposive sampling" and 42 data were obtained. Data collected in the form of patient demographic data, including age, sex, data regarding patient treatment (diagnosis, indications, drug selection, dose and frequency). The results of the study are described descriptively and presented in tabular / percentage form. Results of evaluation of hepatitis B therapy: positive HBsAg test results were found in 42 patients (100%), the diagnosis was correct, the indication was true in 42 patients (100%), the right drug selection in 37 patients (88.10%) and 5 patients (11, 90%) not yet correct, 42 patients were not yet fully dose right because there were still 9 frequencies of drug administration that were not yet appropriate.
