Cayenne pepper leaves are used in various fields such as health and culinary. In traditional medicine, cayenne pepper leaves are used as anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and huka medicine. Daim chili pepper (Capsicum frutescens L.) contains flavonoids that can accelerate reepithelialization, cell plorifellation, and collagen synthesis. This study aims to determine the ointment activity of the ethanol extract of cayenne pepper leaves on an incision and to compare the activity of the oinment with commercial medicine (Inerson) as a wound healing. This research is experimental, the sample used was 20 male white rats Rattus norvegicus aged 2-3. month which were divided into 5 groups, namely ointment base, as a negative control, Inerson ointment is a positive control, ointment with a concentration of 1% 2% and 2.5, cayenne pepper leaf extract. The treatment was carried out for 14 days. Collecting data by documenting and recording the healing time of the cut and the data was calculated as a mean of 0-average analyzed by the Saphiro Wilk test and the One Way Ancva test. The result showed that an ointment dose of 2.5%% was more effective than concentrations of 17 and 206 in accelerating wound healing. On the S day, the slices of male white rats were seen consentrations of 1% and 2% are less active in accelerating wound healing can be seen on day 10 . an incision medicine but more active the ethanol extract of cayenne pepper leaves compared to Inersone ointment.
