Abstract
COVID-19 is a contagious disease caused by a newly discovered type of coronavirus. COVID-19 causes illness ranging from mild to severe symptoms and the cause was not previously known. Multivitamins are supplements that contain a collection of vitamins needed to help treat or prevent vitamin deficiencies due to poor diet, and certain diseases. The purpose of this study was to determine whether or not there was a relationship between patient characteristics and the use of multivitamin supplements as a preventive effort to prevent COVID-19 at Apotek 24 Purwosari. This study used a cross sectional approach, namely an observational study. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling. The number of samples in this study were 103 respondents. Characteristics data and the use of multivitamins were obtained by questionnaires. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test. Characteristics based on age of respondents with the largest rank in the age category 17-35 years with a percentage of 74.3%, Characteristics of respondents based on gender, categories of women more, namely 64 respondents (58.7%), Characteristics of respondents based on education mostly at the secondary level ( SMP / SMA / equivalent), namely 69 people with a percentage of 63.3%, Characteristics of respondents based on work, most of them are high-income people with a percentage of 74.3%. prevention of COVID-19 at Apotek 24 Purwosari is the age of the respondent (p Value 0.701> 0.05), gender (0.245> 0.05), latest education (0.394> 0.005), income (0.413> 0.05), it can be concluded that there is no the relationship between age, gender, education and income of respondents with the use of multivitamin supplements
