Abstract

COVID 19 can affect anyone, both the general public, medical personnel and non-medical personnel who carry out tasks in the hospital. Lack of knowledge of non-medical personnel can hinder efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the hospital environment. The purpose of this study was to describe the knowledge of non-medical personnel on efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in Mulia Hati Wonogiri Hospital. This research is a descriptive quantitative research. The study was conducted by distributing questionnaires to non-medical personnel at the Mulia Hati Wonogiri Hospital. The sampling technique was purposive sampling in which the sample used met the inclusion and exclusion criteria set by the researcher. The scale used is the Guttman scale and the results of the study were carried out by univariate analysis. The results of this study indicate the characteristics of respondents 56.4% are male, 51.3% are aged 26-35 years, 71.8% have high school education, 20.5% work as cleaning personnel and 56.4% have tenure> 3 years. An overview of the knowledge of non-medical personnel on efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in Mulia Hati Wonogiri Hospital in 2021, out of 78 respondents, it was found that 82.1% of respondents had good knowledge, 15.4% of respondents had sufficient knowledge, and 2.6% of respondents had less knowledge. This data shows that efforts still need to be made by hospitals to be able to increase the knowledge of non-medical personnel about preventive efforts to spread COVID-19.
