Abstract
Transmission of Soil Transmited Helminths (STH) infection can occur through food contaminated with worm eggs. The habit of eating raw vegetables, the habit of washing vegetables that are less than perfect, or cooked imperfectly so that there may still be parasites attached to the vegetables. This study aims to determine the presence or absence of Soil Transmitted Helminths (STH) eggs in spoon mustard greens (Brassica rapa L). This research is a descriptive study conducted at the National STIKES Parasitology Laboratory from January to May 2021. The sample used is vegetable mustard greens (Brassica rapa L) which are sold in Gede Hardjonagoro Market, Jebres District, totaling 7 samples. The results showed that there were no Soil Transmitted Helminths Eggs of Ascaris lumbricoides, Trichuris trichiura, and Hookworms eggs in mustard greens (Brassica rapa L) in Pasar Gede Hardjonagoro, however, eggs of other types of Soil Transmitted Helminths were found, namely Trichostrongylus sp.
