Abstract
Fever is the body’s defense mechanism or physiological reaction to changes in the benchmark point in the hypothalamus. Srikaya leaves contain flavonoid compounds thet have antipyretic properties. A transdermal patch is a drug thet works through the skin and into the bloodstream. This study aims to determine the physical properties of transdernal patch preparations meet the requirements and have antipyretic activity. The extraction of srikaya leaves used the maceration method with 96% ethanol as solvent and 2 transdermal patch formulations were made. Physical properties tests carried out included organoleptic tests, weight uniformity test, pH test, thickness tests. Floding endurance tests and moisture absorption tests. Antipyretic activity test was carried out with DPT-HB-Hib vaccine. The data obtained were processed by statistical Analysis of Variance. In this study, good physical test result werw obtained for all formulas. Antipyretic test results transdermal patch of srikaya leaf (Annona squamosa L.) in positive control with the highest yield og 3,84%, while formula 1 with extract concentration of 3% and formula 2 with extract concentration of 5% had almost the same antipytetic effect, but formula 1 gave a higer antipyretic sffect than with formula 2.
