Abstract
Indonesia as a tropical country has a hot environment for field workers which can cause dehydration. Chronic dehydration can be dangerous, because water has an important function for the human body. Obesity, age, amount of fluid consumption, water expenditure and length of work can be risk factors for dehydration. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of risk factors for dehydration in online motorcycle taxi drivers with examination of urine color and specific gravity. This study uses a cross sectional design by examining 85 online motorcycle taxi drivers in the Tanjung Duren area of West Jakarta. From the results of this study, there was a significant relationship between risk factors for dehydration, namely the lack of fluid consumption of online motorcycle taxi drivers with the results of urine color examination with p = 0.045. Obesity is also a risk factor for dehydration that has a significant relationship with the results of urine specific gravity examination p = 0.006. In addition, frequency of urination is a risk factor for dehydration which has a significant relationship with the results of urine specific gravity examination with p = 0.028.
