Alcohol is a chemical substance that will cause various impacts in the body. There are various types of diseases caused by alcohol consumption, one of which is impaired liver function such as alcoholic liver disease. Alcoholic Liver Disease (PHA) is a disorder of liver function caused by prolonged consumption of alcohol with a certain amount. Alcoholic liver disease is divided into fatty liver, alcoholic hepatitis and cirrhosis. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of age with GGT levels in adolescents who consumed alcohol and also to know the charac- teristics of adolescents who consumed alcohol which included the period of con- sumption (moke), the amount of consumption and the frequency of alcohol consump- tion. The research method carried out is Observational Analytical research with a Cross sectional approach. When the study was conducted from October 2021 to July 2022, from the population of adolescents aged 10 to 18 years who consumed alcohol for 1 year as many as 36 people. Samples were taken by purposive sampling. Based on the results of this study using the Simple Linear Regression test, it was found that the p value = 0.852. It shows that there is no significant influence between the con sump- tion of alcoholic beverages on impaired liver function. Based on the results of the examination of serum GGT levels on 36 subjects of this study, it was found that most (75%) had normal GGT levels. The conclusion of this study was that there was no influence between the ages of adolescents who consumed alcohol on impaired liver function.
