Abstract
Typhoid fever is a systemic infectious disease characterized by fever, abdominal pain due to the spread of Salmonella bacteria, occurring throughout the world, especially in the tropics. The diagnosis of typhoid fever was carried out by the Tubex TF examination, which is a serological test to detect IgM antibodies against the lipopolysaccharide antigen 09 typhi. Lymphocytes have an important role in the immune system. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between anti-Salmonella typhi IgM Tubex TF and lymphocyte results in patients with typhoid fever. This research is an observational analytic study with a cross sectional approach. The sampling technique is quota sampling. The subjects of this study were patients with positive Anti Salmonella typhi IgM results. The data analysis technique used the Spearman Rank correlation test. The results of the study on 30 samples, obtained a correlation coefficient between Anti Salmonella typhi IgM with a lymphocyte count of 0.070, meaning that the Tubex results with the number of lymphocytes had a very weak relationship. The significance value of 0.713 means that there is no relationship between Anti Salmonella typhi IgM Tubex TF with the number of lymphocytes and the direction of the relationship is positive (unidirectional relationship). Conclusion there is no relationship between Anti Salmonella typhi IgM Tubex TF with the number of lymphocytes in patients with typhoid fever
