Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a disease caused by the dengue virus and is transmitted to humans through the bite of the Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus mosquitoes. Data from the Indonesian Pediatrician Association shows that children under the age of 15 are most susceptible to infection. Examination of dengue IgG IgM in the laboratory is used as a determinant of the diagnosis of dengue. On examination, the number of neutrophils also affects the condition of DHF patients. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between dengue IgG IgM examination and neutrophils in DHF patients. This research method uses cross sectional. The sampling technique was carried out by means of Quota Sampling and obtained the number of samples of 30 samples. From the research, it was found that the majority of the age group 10-15 years were 63.3% with DHF, the number of Neutrophils was less than normal as much as 56.7%, Dengue IgG (+) IgM (+) was 53.3%. There was a relationship between dengue IgG IgM examination and the number of neutrophils which was statistically significant with a p value of 0.009 (Asymp. Sig (2-sided) < 0.05). In testing the Odd ratio (OR) value, the OR value was 11. Conclusion: There is a relationship between dengue IgG IgM examination and the number of neutrophils. Patients with IgG (+) IgM (+) have 11 times the risk of Dengue Blood IgG (-) and IgM (+) to the percentage of neutrophils less than normal (< 34%).
