Abstract
Examination of the total Eosinophil count directly can be done by manual methods and automatic methods. The manual method using von Dungern's solution is widely used in the laboratory. While the current research leads to the automatic method. The purpose of this study was to determine the difference in absolute total eosinophil count between a manual method using von Dungern's solution with an automatic flowcytometry method using a semiconductor laser. This research uses an experimental analytical research type. Samples were taken by accidental sampling as many as 45 patients. The results of the paired T-test study obtained a significance value of 0.408, it was concluded that there was no significant difference in the absolute total eosinophil count between the manual method using von Dungern's solution with the automatic flowcytometry method using a semiconductor laser.
