Abstract
Pediculosis capitis is a skin or hair infection caused by infestation of Pediculus humanus var. Capitis, Head lice (Pediculsis capitis) was a disease caused by ectoparasites obligate eater blood in human head. The incidence is high especially in children, This disease was still often experienced by Islamic boarding school students because of lack of personal hygiene. This study aims to determine the relationship between personal hygiene and anemia status with the incidence of Pediculosis Capitis in Elementary School Children at Darul Qur'an Islamic Boarding School Lantaburo Cipondoh, Tangerang City. The method in this research was analytic observasional survey with cross sectional design. The sampling technique used is quota sampling. The Sample Of 30 students at Islamic Boarding Schools Was Analyzed Using correlation test. The data then were presented in tabular form, then performed statistical analysis using the corellation tes. Research result obtained through pediculosis examination, Hb examination, and the contents of the questionnaire. analyzed result research descriptively presented in tabular form, then statistical analysis was performed using correlation test. The results of this study indicate that 66.7% of those who suffer from pediculosis, respondents who have poor personal hygiene 56.7%, suffer from anemia 33.3%.The results of the correlation test showed that there was a significant relationship between personal hygiene and the incidence of Pediculosis capitis with a sig. (2-tailed) is 0.000 < 0.05, then Ho is rejected and H1 is accepted.There is no relationship between anemia status and the incidence of pediculosis capitis with sig values. (2-tailed) is 0.188 > 0.05.
