Abstract
This figure makes Surakarta City ranks first with the most cases of diabetes mellitus in Central Java Province. One of the complications of diabetes mellitus is cardiovascular as a result of atherosclerosis. Increased triglyceride levels are known as a risk factor for atherosclerosis or narrowing of the coronary arteries that can cause inflammation. The presence of inflammation in the body can cause an increase in levels of High sensitivity C-Reactive Protein (Hs-CRP). Hs-CRP is the main acute phase protein in humans as a marker of inflammatory cardiovascular disease, so an elevated Hs-CRP indicates a high risk of coronary artery disease. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of triglycerides in patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in terms of Hs-CRP levels. Statistical analysis using the Spearman rank test from the correlation test and the results obtained from the significance value of 24 samples that is equal to 0.095 then p > 0.05 the Correlation Coefficient of -0.349 which indicates a weak relationship so that it is stated that there is no relationship between triglyceride levels and high sensitivityC-Reactive Protein (Hs-CRP) in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
