Abstract

Ojek drivers has a high risk of occupational disease, a very high level of traffic density, especially on traffic jams, it caused contact with vehicle exhaust gases through breathing and skin that enter the body chronically. The purpose of this study is to describe a correlation of Lead (Pb) levels in blood and hypertension. The study method is the analytic observational with total sampling technique. The research was carried out at the Ragion Laboratory DKI Jakarta by measuring Lead levels using Spectrophotometer ICP 7800 MS. The results of the measurement of Pb levels from 13 respondents obtained normal Lead levels with results in 2 respondents, namely 80.46 µg/L and 47.16 µg/L, 11 respondents obtained Lead <2,28 µg/L. Based on the Independent Sampel T-Test Moment test in SPSS, concluded there is no correlation between Lead levels in blood and hypertension on ojek drivers in sumber jaya village Bekasi.
