Abstract

Hemostasis laboratory test consists of PT (Prothrombin Time) and APTT (Activated Partial Thromboplastin Time), both of the test are to examine the presence of blood clotting factor disorders in the intrinsic,extrinsic and joint pathways. Blood samples for PT and APTT examination were collected in a 3.2% Na Citrate vacutainer tube with 9:1 ratio. Incorrect ratio could give the result of PT and APTT prolonged. Aqueous blood due to excess citrate causes a low platelet count, so the clotting process becomes slow so the results are prolonged. The purpose of the study is to determine the difference in blood volume of citrate 3.2% to the PT and APTT values. The type of study is the experimental with cross sectional technique. The study was conducted at Prof DR. R. Soeharso Orthopedic Hospital Surakarta by examining the PT and APTT values using the Sysmex CA 600 Series turbidimetric method. Based on the T Test with SPSS, p = 0.00, it can be concluded that there is a difference results of PT and APTT with a ratio of 9:1 and 4:1 for cleaning staff at at Prof DR. R. Soeharso Orthopedic Hospital Surakarta.
