Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus is a non-communicable disease that is increasing every year which is characterized by increased levels of glucose in the blood. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between NLR and HbA1c values in type 2 DM patients. Neutrophil Lymphocyte Ratio is an inflammatory marker that can be detected efficiently, efficiently and reliably because it is easy and simple, the neutrophil lymphocyte ratio is calculated from the results of a complete blood count. HbA1c is hemoglobin bound to a glucose molecule. Hemoglobin has a life span of about 120 days, HbA1c can describe an estimate of the average level of sugar in the blood for three months This type of research is observational analytic with a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique of this research is Total Sampling with the subject of 21 respondents with type 2 DM who are members of Prolanis at the Musuk Boyolali Health Center. Examination of NLR values using the Sysmex XN 1000 and HbA1c using the D10 Hemoglobin Testing System. Hypothesis test is done by Spearman Correlation Test. The results showed that the normal NLR value was 85.7% while more than normal was 14.3%. The normal HbA1c value is 9.5%, while 90.5% is more than normal. After processing the data using the Spearman Statistical Test, the results obtained with a correlation coefficient value of 0.422, which means that there is no correlation
