Abstract
The abuse of benzodiazepines by bus drivers with the excuse of increasing stamina. Benzoadiazepines are class IV psychotropic drugs that can provide sedation. The purpose of this study was to determine the presence or absence of benzodiazepines in the urine of intercity and interprovincial bus drivers at the Giri Adipura terminal using the immunoassay method. This type of research is descriptive research. Urine samples from bus drivers were obtained using the quota sampling technique. Samples of 10 bus drivers' urine were tested qualitatively using the immunoassay method. The results of the questionnaires that were distributed found that 100% of bus drivers worked more than 8 hours a day and 40% of bus drivers experienced stress. Screening test for inter-city and inter-provincial bus drivers was negative for benzodiazepines. The results of 10 samples of urine from inter-city and inter-provincial bus drivers at the Giri Adipura terminal that were examined did not contain benzodiazepines.
