Abstract

Worms are one of the diseases that still occur in the community but get less attention (negleted disease). The most common cause of worm infection in humans is nematodes worms (intestinal worms). The study was conducted to determine the presence of intestinal nematode worm eggs in feces samples of children aged 1-5 years in the village of Teloyo. This study used a descriptive research design with a saturated NaCl flotation method approach. The samples analyzed were feces from 29 children aged 1-5 years in Teloyo Village, Wonosari Districts, Klaten Regency, with accidental sampling and observed under a microscope. The results of research that have been carried out on stool samples found 1 positive sample of intestinal nematode eggs, namely Hookworm eggs. In the feces samples of children aged 1-5 years in the village of Teloyo, found the presence of Hookworm eggs in 1 sample (3,4%) of the 29 samples that had been examined.
