Abstract

Musca domestica is spread throughout the continent with a variety of climates and environments. These flies can adapt well to get food from waste or garbage. Sanggrahan Village is a village located in Sukoharjo Regency that has a Temporary Dump (TPS). Temporary Dumping Plant (TPS) is one of the places where many Musca domestica flies multiply and carry many pathogenic organisms. The location of residents' settlements that are close enough to the polling station can cause the potential to transmit parasites found on the body of Musca domestica flies. Therefore, research was conducted with the title "Identification of Intestinal Protozoa and Soil Transmitted Helminth in House Flies (Musca domestica) Found in Residents Settlements Arround Temporary Disposal Sites (TPS) in sanggrahan village Sukoharjo". This study used descriptive research design using sedimentation methods and NaCl 0.9% solution as a deposition solution. Research data is analyzed with descriptive analysis techniques presented in the form of tables. The results showed that out of a total of 65 Musca domestica flies identified in 13 tubes with 11 tubes each containing 5 flies, 1 tube containing 6 flies, and 1 tube containing 4 tails were not found intestinal protozoa and soil transmitted helminth eggs so the results tested negative.
