E-cigarettes are Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) which comes from batteries to convert liquid nicotine into vapor form. Nicotine is a chemical that can affect health. The nicotine contained in cigarette smoke can increase lipolysis and the concentration of free fatty acids that affect the blood lipid profile, one of which is triglycerides. Research methods. This type of research is descriptive with a cross sectional approach. This research was conducted at the National STIKES Clinical Chemistry Laboratory. The population used in this study was 35 members of the Surakarta Vapers Association and a sample of 33 people who met the criteria by purposive sampling technique was taken. Examination of triglycerides using the GPO method and examined with a CLIMA MC 15 photometer. The results obtained are presented in the form of a descriptive table. Research result. After researching 33 respondents, the average value of triglyceride levels was 165,79 mg/dL with the lowest was 51 mg/dL and the highest was 384 mg/dL. Conclusion. The results of this study were based on age, gender, frequency of e-cigarette users per day, duration of e-cigarette smoking, and the type of e cigarette used, the results showed that triglyceride levels did not increase significantly.
