Abstract

Benzodiazepines are class IV psychotropic drugs that belong to the group of drugs that have antiepileptic, muscle relaxant, hypnotic, and sedative effects. Lack of understanding, education as well as emotional and mental levels still unstable in adolescence can trigger negative behavior. The purpose of this study was to determine the presence or absence of benzodiazepine psychotropics in Adolescents Aged 16-20 Years in Dukuh Umbulsari, Polanharjo District. This research is a qualitative descriptive study using quota sampling techniques. Quality test with Immunoassay method using 15 urine samples. By inserting the test strip into the urine for 10 seconds and the reading of the results should not exceed 10 minutes. Probandus is a teenager aged 16-20 years in Dukuh Umbulsari, Polanharjo District. The results of the study were obtained not containing benzodiazepines, indicated by the formation of color strips in the control zones (C) and test (T). with the results of the questionnaire, it showed that some respondents experienced a sense of worry, insomnia and fatigue in activities. Benzodiazepines themselves have benefits in correcting the problem This study obtained results on 15 urine samples that were examined negatively did not contain benzodiazepines.
