Abstract

This study focuses on the presence or absence of benzodiazepine use in the urine of intercity bus drivers between provinces at the Kertonegoro Ngawi terminal. Benzoadiazepines are psychotropic drugs that provide sedation and are generally prescribed as antidepressants, anesthetics and anticonvulsants. Benzodiazepines are commonly used for the treatment of anxiety disorders, panic attacks, tranquilizers, insomnia, muscle tension, seizures and alcohol dependence syndrome. This study aims to determine the presence or absence of benzodiazepine use in intercity interprovincial bus drivers at the Kertonegoro Ngawi terminal and to determine the presence or absence of benzodiazepine content in the urine of bus drivers at the Kertonegoro Ngawi Terminal. This research is a descriptive research with Quota sampling technique. Respondents in this study were 10 inter-city inter-provincial bus drivers urine at the kertonegoro Ngawi terminal. The method used in this study is a rapid test. The results of this study did not indicate the presence of benzodiazepines in the urine of inter-city inter-provincial pus drivers at the kertonegorongawi terminal. The conclusion in this study was that from 10 samples, no benzodiazepine content was found in the urine of intercity interprovincial bus drivers at the Kertonegoro Ngawi terminal.
