Abstract

udy was conducted to describe the levels of lead in the blood of the gas station operator in Pasar Kliwon area based on working period. This type of research was a descriptive with a cross sectional approach. The research was conducted from March until June 2019. The research samples were 5 operators of Semanggi gas stations in Pasar Kliwon. Identification of lead levels using a Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer AA 7000 at the Chemistry Laboratory, Balai Laboratorium Kesehatan Yogyakarta. The results showed that all the operators had lead level in their blood. The examination of blood lead level of A1, A2, A4, A5, A7 were 1,4434 µg/dL, 1,6859 µg/dL, 1,2009 µg/dL, 1,5646 µg/dL, 1,4737 µg/dL. Respondent A2 with an 8 year work period had higher lead levels than respondents A1, A4, A5 with a 7 year work period. While respondent A7 with an 11 year work period had lower lead than those of A2 with an 8 years work period. SPBU Operators have blood lead levels that don’t exceed normal level regulation by the CDC which is <10 µg/dL.
