Abstract

Since the enacment of the JKN program, the drug needs has increased with the increasing patient visits at the Health Center. The procurement of drug with epurchasing often causes a drug vacuum due to long lead time and empty drugs at the distributor. This study aims to describe of the availability of drugs at the Pharmaceutical Installation of Magelang City in factual and valid. This study included observational research with descriptive observations retrospectively. The study was conducted at the Pharmaceutical Installation of Magelang City in February until April 2019. The sample was used in this study as 139 drugs in Pharmaceutical Installation of Magelang City with the sampling technique using is purposive sampling technique. The results of this study showed that the average level of availability of drugs in Pharmaceutical Installation of Magelang City was low with 38,1% in the low category, 17,3% in the safe category and 44,6% in the over category. There were no damaged drugs were found in Pharmaceutical Installation of Magelang City. The number of expired drugs is 16 drugs item with a loss of Rp 42.772.400,-. The number of empty drug items during 2018 was 30 drug items (2972 days) with an average drugs vacancy is 21 days a year (5,86%).
